Against his better judgment, the demon king, Ashmedai, has taken the world's last innocent man under his wing. Admittedly, it was more of an abduction, but this time it was for the greater good. Up until a few days ago, Ash was certain truly innocent men did not exist. Naturally, he has no intention of allowing this one to be corrupted, no matter how badly he may be tempted to corrupt the man himself.
No sooner has he decided to sacrifice his happiness in order to protect innocence, than a meddling god named Bryony Moss gives the single most catastrophic angel a reason to destroy Ash's new treasure. Not even his status as the demon king will help Ash go head-to-head with this particular beast. It's only a matter of time until he loses the fight. The question is, which is the more dangerous foe—the destroying angel or his own traitorous heart?
