韩非子，师从荀子，是中国古代著名的哲学家、思想家，政论家和散文家，法家思想的集大成者，后世称"韩子"或"韩非子"。但古人认为其是阴谋学家，韩非的著作一大部分关于阴谋。韩非目睹战国后期的韩国积贫积弱，多次上书韩王，希望改变当时治国不务法制、养非所用、用非所养的情况，但其主张始终得不到采纳。韩非认为这是"廉直不容于邪枉之臣。"便退而着书，写出了《孤愤》、《五蠹》、《内外储》、《说林》、《说难》等著作，洋洋十万余言。
