王守仁，字伯安，人稱王陽明。明代著名的思想家、哲學家、書法家兼軍事家、教育家，官至南京兵部尚書、都察院左都禦史，因平定宸濠之亂等軍功而封爵新建伯，隆慶時追贈侯爵。王守仁是陸王心學之集大成者，非但精通儒、釋、道三教，而且能夠統軍征戰，是中國歷史上罕見的全能大儒。其學說提倡知行合一、致良知。在中國、日本、朝鮮半島都有重要而深遠的影響。《傳習錄》是他的傳世之作。
