Emily Ellet's performance mingles mirth and mistrust in this lively murder mystery. Antonia Bingham, the new owner of an inn in the Hamptons, turns amateur sleuth to prevent herself becoming a murder victim. Ellet gives a perfect portrayal of Bingham's tumultuous emotions as the happy but overwhelmed owner of the Windmill Inn becomes fearful of those around her when she discovers that recent murder victims were previous owners of the inn. Elett brings out the eclectic East Hampton personalities with a variety of vivid voices and playfully weaves the red herrings into the story without giving away the culprits too soon. Elett's delightful narration makes this entertaining story all the more entertaining. M.F. Winner of AudioFile Earphones Award © AudioFile 2020, Portland, Maine
