Before America was settled the shifters lived together, mostly in harmony, sometimes in little more than an uneasy truce between the different clans. But there was peace. Humans changed all of that. The Abbey family is determined to make their claim in the rich land of Colorado. There are others who say they were there first though, people who can change into wolves and who don't want the Abbeys in their territory. A pact between them will bring peace, but it will take compromise on both sides. The Abbeys need these strange new people and the shifters need this family of humans as well. If they are both to survive for generations to come, they must work together to protect the land they both call home. Although things don't always run smooth between the hot cowboys of the Abbey family and the seductive, wild wolves of the pack, it seems like each generation can find common ground and love in the rugged Colorado mountains.
