Mac's Blue-Eyed Mistress

Annie's tale begins in her senior year of high school. She had a
Summer job, to save toward her college tuition. Readers will be
introduced to Annie's faithful Collie, Mac.
Life is a bit of a bumpy road that doesn't always follow our plans for
the future.
"How did your day go, Annie"?
"Gram, you've asked me that every day for the past month, and then Mom
and Dad ask again when they get home. Let me take Mac for a walk. Then,
I'll answer all your questions after dinner. Deal?" Gram just nodded her
head and dismissed Annie with a wave of her hand, like she was shooing
away a fly.
"I hope I didn't offend her, Mac. She seems uncharacteristically touchy
lately."
"Woof, woof."
"Okay, to the park it is."
