Barret has lived almost his entire life cast as the monstrous villain, so imagine his surprise when the strangest Fairy God Mother out there calls on him to protect one of her charges. Not being able to control his other half used to be his biggest problem, but with Lynni in the picture, everything has turned upside down.
Lynni has always known that her destiny was grim because she was different than the rest of her people, but she'd decided long ago to try and make a difference in the world—then she meets Dori and is shocked to find out that nothing is as it appears.
Can these two outsiders navigate the draw they have to each other while trying to out run the roles the rest of the world has given them? Dori will do all she can to make sure they get a second chance, and there's very little that can keep a goth fairy from getting what she wants.
