Lightheartedly teasing her before he was found out. Odd in other ways, as he usually only teased the women in his immediate 'family' circle, mainly because he knew they could handle him, and because they teased him in return. It was not long before they discovered they were both engaged by Briar to prepare for the Children's fundraising committee.
